Once a month, on a Saturday night, students can find a safe way to enjoy a night out. Life Night is a youth group at Living Word Church for grades six to twelfth. Life Night takes place from 7:30-10 pm. During Life Night, teens can hang out and have fun.
“If you don’t know God or need to find yourself, it’s a fun place to be and you get to have food and play games and there’s worship,” sophomore Payton Smith said. “You get a good message and can hang out with friends and have a good time.”
There are several games and activities for students to enjoy like life size Jenga, Ping-Pong, and multiple card games just to name a few. Occasionally, there is food provided, but there are drinks and snacks that attendees may purchase.
After playing some games with friends, there is a time of worship. Students gather around in a room where they play music and students sing along together and praise the Lord. When the singing is done, there is always a lesson that relates to the life of teens and how to get through tough obstacles in life. This is a very helpful time for several teenagers.
Once worship is done, games will usually take place after and there is usually an optional group game. Life Night helps people make several new friends where students can be themselves and not worry about being judged.
