Chess club competes in solo and team tournaments. These tournaments can have anywhere from twenty to thousands of people competing in them. If the team wins, there is a chance of winning trophies or money. These tournaments take place in areas like, Detroit, Grand rapids, and Lansing.

“They are fun to go to and show a true test of your brain power,” freshman Nicholas Konovalenko said.

Not many people know about this club though. If in need of more information, go to Brian Smith’s room at room 377 on Thursdays, after seventh hour. Chess club could become an interest now that there is more information on it. By Alex Jonas
