Die-hard fans come together to feel the Beatlemania

Travel back in time with the MCFTA to see “A Tribute to the Beatles” on Wed., Feb. 25. The group Rain teams up to try to bring a true experience of how it would be like to go to a Beatles concert. Sophomore Katya Karnoup is a die-hard Beatles fan and is excited for the tribute.

“I like [the Beatles] because the songs never get old, even if you listen to them all the time,” Karnoup said. “Nowadays you listen to a song and it gets old in a week. Doesn’t happen with the Beatles.”

The band includes five fans of the Beatles from places all around the United States, including Brooklyn and southern California. Many have past experience with impersonations of the Beatles when in the touring production of “Beatlemania”. Rain dresses up and strives to perfect their music to be as pleasing as the actual Beatles would have been.

“I expect [Rain] to sound and look like them,” Karnoup said. “I except it to be good for the price of the tickets.”

The price of the tickets ranges from $38-$55 and are selling fast. Tickets can be bought at the MCFTA ticket booth or online here.
