On Sat. Dec. 20 at 7 p.m., Midland’s Center Stage Choirs will be coming together at the Midland Center for the Arts to perform their annual Holiday Extravaganza. This event is an opportunity for vocalists of a variety of ages to share their hard work with the community and spread some holiday cheer by performing Christmas favorites including “O Come O Come Emmanuel” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”.
Senior Sarah Hirschi is a member of Bella Voce, and all-girls group that will be performing in the Extravaganza. Though she is unable to participate this year, she has been working with the rest of the group on preparations throughout the past several weeks.
“We’ve been rehearsing the songs for this concert since about October,” Hirschi said. “We’ve been going through them and really trying to make them perfect for the performance.”
Hirschi believes that the concert is a great way to bring Midland together at Christmastime.
“We’ve gotten really positive feedback from people in the community who attend,” Hirschi said. “It’s great to hear that because we’ve been working really hard for a long time, and it’s a good way to bring about the Christmas spirit right before the holidays.”
Tickets for the performance are $16 for adults and $11 for students. More details and information can be found on the MCfTA website.
