FGL, which stands for Freaks, Geeks, and Losers, is a club where students go to express and share what they are passionate about, whether that be a TV show, book, or videogame. Mikayla Tegan, along with the 2 other co-heads, took control of FGL this year with her new leadership system.
“Last year our leadership system wasn’t doing too well,” senior Mikayla Tegan said. “Towards the end of the year, me and my two other friends Trinity and Abby went up to the leader last year and were like ‘Hey next year, can we try running FGL’ and he was like ‘sure’.”
She joined FGL when she moved here from her old school.
“I just really appreciate the fact that there’s actually a club that includes people who are more like nerds, that like anime and video games,” Tegan said. “At my old school, they were literally just sports teams. So if you were into more video games that you had nowhere to go.”
Tegan now is the co-head of FGL and plans the meetings, themes, and topics for each week’s meeting.
FGL meets every Thursday at 2:35 p.m. in room 335.
