For bored students after school on Fridays, come to NAHS “Art & Chill.” Every Friday, the NAHS members meet to have some quiet down time with one another. They meet in the art room to work on their volunteer projects such as their murals or mailboxes while enjoying snacks brought by some of the members. It is also utilized by students who are behind in class to catch up on their own personal projects or any other missing assignments. Currently, the NAHS students are working on painting all-nature themed mailboxes for homes located on the Chippewa Nature Center trail.
“Every mailbox has an individual using their own unique styles to illustrate what ‘nature’ means to them,” Anna Sebaly said.
The students work on the mailboxes during their “Art & Chill” time.
“Some of our other projects have to be more cohesive, for example, the Siebert and Woodcrest murals,” Sebaly said.
The club continues to meet every Friday after school. If you want to work on an unfinished art project or simply snack on some good food, come stop by Mr. Gledhill’s, Room 358. All are welcome.
