For the first time this year, some JV and varsity girls on the pompon team will be participating in the Drama Club’s spring musical “Bring it On.” Usually, the Drama Club’s spring musical is independently preformed, but due to the nature of the musical, the Drama Club has asked for the both the assistance of the pom and cheer teams.
The musical “Bring it On” centers around high school cheer competitions, which is why the Drama Club is looking for alternative members. The pommers and cheerleaders would be mainly background dancers acting as cheerleaders.
“I’m really excited to be in my first musical,” senior Emily Peterson said. “It’s been something I’ve wanted to do my whole life, but now that I’m in my second semester of senior year, I have time.”
This upcoming Thursday, there is a mandatory meeting for students wishing to participate in the spring musical.
