The Michigan Climate Action Network held a conference on Sept. 9 in Lansing. The conference was open to both youth and adult groups and had the same goal as Go Green: to promote sustainability and reduce waste. Go Green sent several representatives to the conference

The conference aimed to inform people of new climate initiatives that have happened throughout the state. In separate panels students got together and talked about different initiatives people have done and can do to help the environment.

“I am really passionate about sustainability, and I care a lot about climate change, and Go Green really gives me a chance to do those things,” sophomore Emilia Garces said.
