The DHS bowling team had a meet on Jan. 8 against Bay City Central. The team has been spending a lot of time practicing and preparing for the upcoming season. The season seems to not be going as well as some team members had hoped, but it depends on how the situation is viewed.
“It’s difficult right now, but I feel like if we can get more practice and it’ll get better,” junior Abigail Watkins said.
The team practices every night from Monday to Friday. Even though the season is off to a rough start, things look like they’ll turn around farther along.
“I think that we are going to do good as time progresses,” Watkins said.
The season has only had 3 meets so far this winter. The season goes until the beginning of March.
The boys and girls varsity bowling team’s next meet is on Jan. 12 against Flint Southwestern Academy at Gerlach’s Lanes.
