The basketball season is underway, fresh into the college season and DHS’s first game on December 10th. A first year varsity player, junior Liam Callihan, is starting this season coming here from Saudi Arabia. Callihan played for DHS his freshman year, but then had to move for the next year. With his return, he was asked when he started looking at playing.

“I got into basketball in about seventh grade, and in high school I guess I’ve just kept with it,” Callihan said.

Before moving to Midland, Liam previously lived in Louisville, Kentucky. Then from Midland, he traveled to Saudi Arabia and back. 

“Being able to compete at a game that I found a lot of fun,” Callihan said.
