On Friday, Oct. 25, the Chargers took home a victory against the Chemics with the score 42-7, moving them forward into the playoffs. Throughout the course of the night, many of the Chargers executed effective plays, working well together and separately.
“This week in practice, we’ve really just upped the tempo and how we need to practice and prepare for this week’s game,” junior Jacob Bole said. “Everyone knows what’s on the line.”
The Charger student section theme was white-out whereas the rival Chemics were dressed in black-out. The spirit of the winning side was hyped up to a great extent. The longer the night went on and the more points the Chargers scored, the louder the student section got.
“We eat as a team,” senior Braden Weick said. “So we have the team moms make a meal and we pray before the game and then we just get into our own heads really.”
