On Mar. 9, the annual MHS football combine took place. This combine has a combination of different physical tests to show how the students stack up against each other. The combine is a competition between the MHS football team and the DHS football team. The tests in the combine include lifting as well as sprinting and agility.
“At the end of the combine, there is an award ceremony for the winners of each weight class,” sophomore DHS quarterback Shane Astrike said. “I did not attend the award ceremony because I was not in it, but I’m working to be in it for next year.”
Each player is put into a specific weight class and competes against the other players in that weight class. The DHS football boys prepared for this combine by working out after school in the school weight room and also in the morning in the green gym.
