The varsity pom team worked hard this entire season and remained within the top 10 in the state.
MHS placed third in Division 2 while DHS placed ninth in Division 1.
The state competition for DHS was a success with the team scoring a 355.5 out of 400 and placing ninth in the state in class A.
“We worked hard before this season and our girls and coaches are very proud of the outcome,” senior JoAnna Danielson said. “It is upsetting that it is my last competition but this season is one to remember.”
Ten of the 18 girls are seniors this year and both of the coaches are leaving, so next year it is going to be a brand new team, yet the expectations of success are very high and the girls are looking forward to it.
