The state playoffs for AAA hockey in Michigan are under way. Players who participate in these playoffs are the best of the best in the state. AAA hockey is very competitive and the players are looking to get to the next level. Sophomore Michael Andriot is playing for Honeybaked U15 in Detroit, Mich. and they are lethal at every age group.
“We aren’t really a team, we are more of a family and our goal is to win states and go to nationals,” Andriot said.
Missing school is one of the main problems for the players that travel down state just for practice.
“I just relax and do my homework in the car, it’s not that hard I just want to get it done,” said Andriot.
The team takes on the toughest competition to reach their goal of getting scouted and moving on to the highest level they can.
“This tournament has a lot of exposure, so I need to be at the top of my game,” said Andriot
Andriot’s team expects to go far in the tournament and hopefully move on to Nationals which takes place April 6.
