Girls Lacrosse Falls to Hartland

The combined Midland and Dow High Girls lacrosse team lost to Hartland in the Division 1 regional semifinal Wednesday at Lake Orion High School. The Hartland Eagles beat the Midland Cavaliers 14-5.

“We knew this was a good team going into it but everyone gave it their all. We fought hard until the end and I’m proud of my team,” senior Jenna Lee said.

Caroline Milholland, Ashley Neuenfeldt and Alexa Wild each scored a goal for Midland and Jenna Lee scored two.

At halftime the Cavaliers trailed only 5-2, but after the break the Eagles scored 5 straight goas.

Midland goalie Cassie Rammidi made 12 saves and the team competed for every 50/50 ground ball, but the Eagles’ lead was too big for Midland to ever make a comeback.

The Midland Girls lacrosse team ended with at 13-7 record with four seniors, Jenna Lee, Liv Gandy, Sofia Lobo, and Pierson Joseph, graduating.
