Dramatizing Drama Club
Students are always looking for something to participate in that they enjoy. DHS offers a large variety of clubs ranging from the Alpine Club to different language clubs. During this time period of students finding things that interest them, a new club has been formed in order to open more opportunities for students at DHS. This is the Drama Club.
“[The purpose of Drama Club] is to teach acting and technical skills as well as to assist with our current production,” drama and debate instructor Amy Bushey said.
The club wants to give students the opportunity to prepare themselves for working backstage and auditions. Instructors like Bushey, along with the International Thespian Society, wanted to make sure everyone would have the opportunity to be a part of something that interested them.
Drama Club meets the Monday after the International Thespian Society members have their meeting from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at various dates. Club meeting dates can be heard on the announcements.
