On Sunday, Nov. 18 sophomores Madison Kuch and McKenna Root headed a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish that took place at the Midland Community Tennis Center. There were a number of doubles matches that people paid to participate in, and other donations were made by attendees.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a national charity that gives wishes to life-threateningly sick children. This tennis center event was organized for the marketing class that Kuch and Root share, and the Make-A-Wish branch at DHS is headed by marketing teacher Melissa DeBoer.
“It was a two-hour event and we ended up raising $600,” Kuch said.
