This year on Dec.17, Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands are allowing six tickets to be sold for the price of one, as they do annually. Tickets are valid starting at 9 a.m. and ending at the 4:30 p.m. closing time.
This event offers families and friends a chance to get away for the day to enjoy the skiing that Boyne provides. It’s a common meeting place for friends DHS students.
“Getting to go with friends is great; we have a good time hanging out on the ski slopes with each other and meeting up with other groups of people who came for it too is another perk,” junior Rachel Marble said
Boyne’s six for one is one of their highest sales days. The sale of tickets is substantial, and keeps skiers from around the area coming year after year.
“This year’s going to be around my fifth year going, it’s cool to see how much people improve from season to season, plus it’s a great deal,” Marble said.
Some students take full advantage of this as they stay the weekend. Many choose to go in groups to stay the weekend and many bring family as well.
“I’ve gone with my friends’ family for two years now. It’s a lot of fun hanging together at a ski lodge, with lots of activities offered,” senior Bailey Loftis said.
Whether people plan to stay for just the day or plan stay the weekend, there’s a lot that Boyne has to offer both children and adults.
