What many may wonder about is who they truly are as a person. They also may wonder what type of career would be best to match their personality. Kathy Snyder’s psychology classes participated in taking a personality test that determines who they actually are. The personality test that a student took is called the Jung Typology Test and it is located on the website, www.typelogic.com. It is a 72 question test which asks yes or no questions based on how they interact with people, the environment, and themselves. After a student is done taking the test, their scores are submitted and reviewed by the website which directs the students to a site that show what type of personality they have.

“It was cool to analyze who I am in great detail,” senior Sydney Roeder said.

There are a variety of personalities that a person could classify in. The types of personalities are ISTJ, ISTP, ISFJ, ISFP, INFJ, INFP, INTJ, INTP, ESTP, ESTJ, ESFP, ESFJ, ENFP, ENFJ, ENTP and ENTJ. The name of these personalities is in order of traits a person has. The letters exemplify the type of personality a person has. They characters represent dominant, extrovert, and introvert traits. The psychology students used their information they received from their test and compared their feedback to other people.

“I never thought that people I don’t like have opposite personalities than I do,” Roeder said.

The psychology classes also put together a project that examines not only their personality but careers that would fit for them as well.
