Homecoming Court voting began on Wed., Sept. 13. Students can find the ballot in their school Gmail, which was sent by Student Leadership adviser Chelsea Berg. Voting will last until Sept. 15 at noon. Results of the court will be organized and announced later that day or early next week.
Prior to the voting students nominated court members and those nominations were then finalized and a ballot sent out. The Homecoming Court will participate in the parade, and Homecoming game where the king and queen will be announced. The Homecoming Court also has a picture framed and set up in the hall by the Charger Shoppe. Homecoming Court is a tradition at DHS where students are selected by their peers to represent their grade.
“If we don’t have students and student representatives voicing their opinions, then we’re not going to get what we want,” Student Leadership board member and junior Max Reed said.
