During the second Club Med meeting of the year, members had the opportunity to make locker signs, listen to music, and enjoy each other’s company. Club Med members meet once a month to learn about the medical field by listening to guest speakers and possibly taking field trips to the hospital. The club’s co-presidents, seniors Victoria Leiti and Albertas Klugas, spoke of plans for the upcoming year of Club Med.
“Usually we’ll have residents and people who work in the medical field come in and talk to us about what they do and how they got there,” Klugas said.
Club Med may lead and inspire DHS students to start their studies and their careers in the medical field.
“The students get an idea of what’s involved with the field itself,” Club Med advisor Luann Kuznicki said.
According to Leiti, Club Med isn’t only a place to learn about the medical field. It’s also a great opportunity to learn and converse with peers about new careers in the medical field.
“I think it’s a really great opportunity to learn the insider secrets about what happens in a medical career,” Leiti said.
