The girls varsity volleyball team is losing a lot of talented seniors this year. So next year’s juniors are filling in the spots. Considering there are still high expectations next year the sophomore girls keep playing even in the off season.
“Me and a few other girls have been playing travel in the spring and fall to keep us in game shape, so we can have a high contribution in the following years,” sophomore Ainsley Lacey said.
The girls team starts practicing right when school starts in September so the preparation before is quite limited, but when it starts they are full force and are determined to win.
“Some of the girls are busy in the summertime so they can’t prepare until school starts, but also a lot of girls do play travel or practice a lot which will be one of the keys to our success next year,” Lacey said.
