Charger volleyball’s varsity program will enter the playoffs starting with the district quarterfinals on Monday Nov. 4, at a ‘neutral’ location against Bay City Western. The Lady Chargers are finishing their season off strong with a final record of 26-9 and soundly securing a spot in the playoffs after their last victory over Grand Blanc in the Saginaw Valley championship. There is a new confidence and drive now that the team has more to play for every game.
“I feel like we’re practicing a little bit harder now, not right before the game they give us a little break before that,” junior Anna Schalk said.
Along with that drive, chemistry is a big part of focusing up for these kinds of games.
“I get pretty nervous but I feel like my team really helps cheer me up,” Schalk said.
After winning against Bay City Western, the team has started on their journey to the Regionals bracket.
