Bates Motel is a recently released TV show on A&E that airs every Monday at 10:00 pm. This TV show is a spinoff of the film psycho which was originally released in 1960 and remade in 1998. The show goes through the life of Norman Bates as a teenager, and what made him become so psycho.<\/p>\n
The original movie is about an older man named Norman and his mother, Norma who own a hotel that hardly gets any business. That is, until Marion Crane comes along. Marion Crane visits the hotel after fleeing from Phoenix, and when she arrives in a moment of desperation, a murder happens in the shower.<\/p>\n
The TV show starts off with Norma Bates, Norman\u2019s mother buying a foreclosed hotel after her husband dies. Together, her and Norman plan on making the hotel into an up and running place for visitors to stay so they can make money. However, the previous hotel owner is mad and plans to take revenge. When his plan fails, Norman uncovers a web of secrets as well as keeping some of his own.<\/p>\n
Spinoffs aren\u2019t usually my cup of tea when it comes to TV shows, but this show is suspenseful in every sense of the word. They manage to put something new in every single episode and drag on previous material that makes viewers anxious for more.<\/p>\n
The great thing about this TV show is that since they chose to make it while Norman was a teenager, they have an endless amount of opportunities to deal with. Because Norman was an adult in the movie, it allows for a lot of wiggle room with the plot of the show.<\/p>\n
Even though this show has some mature content, it is suitable for teenagers who love suspense. The show itself lives up to the expectations given by the actual movie. I highly recommend this show for anyone who needs a way to look forward to Mondays.<\/p>\n
