Key Club, which originally met at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons, has changed their meetings times so that they can get more members to attend. One meeting\u00a0will be\u00a0held before school at 7:15 a.m. and the second is after school at 2:35 p.m.\u00a0 Both of these meetings will provide the same information, as well as updates on upcoming projects and events.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe rationale behind it is we were thinking it helps accommodate to a lot of kids who don\u2019t have seventh hours or they have sports conflicts or other conflicts immediately after school,\u201d President Kera Metz said. \u201cWe are really hoping that the 7:15 in the morning and the 2:30 after school gets those kids to the meetings. The meetings are only like ten minutes, so you can make your sports practices and get to other commitments.\u201d<\/p>\n
With the new times, the club is hoping for increased attendance as well as more participation from students.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re hoping it\u2019ll be more successful, keeping our fingers crossed,\u201d Metz said. \u201cWe\u2019re really hoping that this will help to increase membership, we\u2019ll just switch back if it doesn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
