\u201cIt feels great,\u201d principal Scott Cochran said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Specifically, DHS got ranked number 38 out of 1,136 schools in the state. Cochran believes this achievement was made by the staff and students.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think that it is a good school,\u201d senior Mary Jacobs said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cochran thought the school\u2019s academic programs helped contribute to the ranking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe fact that we have a wonderful CTE program, everything from Auto Tech to business to Marketing to healthcare classes [helped],\u201d Cochran said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ranking is also based on extracurriculars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo I imagine it’s just a combination of things,\u201d assistant principal Matt Murphy said. \u201cWe have a strong reputation across our academics and extracurriculars; our community supports our district and our buildings very well.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
