The Homecoming Courts finalists were announced on Mon., Sept. 15. The court includes a pair of male and female representatives for each grade, with seniors having three pairs. On Thurs., Sept. 25 the court will ride in the Homecoming parade. At the Homecoming assembly finalists perform a creative handshake with each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the Homecoming football game on Fri., Sept. 26. The Court also comes together on Sat., Sept.26 and takes a group picture that eventually hangs in the hallway next to all the other courts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m really excited because I get to do the assembly handshakes and that will be fun,\u201d senior Priya Ghose said. \u201cI\u2019m also really excited for the game because I was on Homecoming Court sophomore year, and I really enjoyed getting to march in the dress, and it’s nice being under the stadium lights and hearing the cheers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ghose is one of this year\u2019s nominees for Homecoming Queen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of our freshman candidates named Dante Foreman is also excited to be a part of Homecoming and its court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI felt very happy and honored to be picked by my classmates,\u201d Foreman said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
