The coronavirus has proven to be a major global problem. It has reached almost everywhere imaginable, even the state of Michigan. <\/span><\/p>\n

On March 12 on a live announcement that began at 11:00 p.m., Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer declared that all forms of public education be closed from March 16 to April 6. More information about the announcement and other effects of the pandemic can be found in this story.<\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the school closings, administrators and teachers seem to be at a loss because of the abrupt nature of the closings. Math teacher Eric Mohr, along with many others, are going to follow the instructions that are given to them throughout the state. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe don’t know a whole lot about a plan per se,\u201d Mohr said. “From what I’ve gathered over the last couple of days, it sounds like as soon as the spread of the virus could be seen across the country, I think school districts in the Midwest where we are could kind of read the writing on the wall and knew that we had to be prepared in case it did get closer to home”. <\/span><\/p>\n
