As the month of February rolls around, wrestlers prepare for the Districts competition, which they completed on Wednesday, February 12th. High school wrestling is a competitive contact sport, with a slew of rules, strategies, and techniques for students to learn and excel at. The wrestling team came in second place at Districts, losing to Midland High in the finals.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDistricts was yesterday,\u201d sophomore Brandon Scott said. \u201cWe didn\u2019t make it out as a team, so we don\u2019t get to move on to States. I don\u2019t think we\u2019ve made it to States in a long time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Regardless, Scott thinks the wrestling team has done particularly well over the last year.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs a team it\u2019s been pretty good,\u201d Scott said. \u201cWe\u2019ve always wanted to get better because we haven\u2019t made it as a team past districts before, and we usually get beat by Midland. We always want to be better.
