{"id":15576,"date":"2020-02-14T09:47:04","date_gmt":"2020-02-14T14:47:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/update.midlandps.org\/?p=15576"},"modified":"2020-02-17T13:48:01","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T18:48:01","slug":"a-look-into-dhs-indoor-track-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/update.midlandps.org\/index.php\/2020\/02\/a-look-into-dhs-indoor-track-club\/","title":{"rendered":"A look into DHS Indoor Track Club"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The DHS Indoor Track Club, established last school year, meets every day to get physical exercise inside by running three times a week, doing bodyweight conditioning on Tuesdays, and lifting weights on Thursdays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe club is open to literally anybody who wants to stay conditioned,\u201d DHS Indoor Track Club leader and senior Andrew Selle said. \u201cSo we actually have several people that aren&#8217;t on Cross Country or Track but are doing it during their off-season of a sport, such as tennis or something like that, just to stay in shape.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Another purpose of the club is to stay in shape for indoor track meets held at Saginaw Valley State University periodically throughout the winter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The club had slow beginnings, with five or six people showing up to practices last year.
