They enjoyed each other\u2019s company while eating mole themed food, listening to chemistry puns, and playing chemistry and Mole Day themed Kahoots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cChemistry club is just a fun place to hang out and do crazy stuff that you wouldn&#8217;t in your normal science class,\u201d sophomore Sofia Aultman said. \u201cIt&#8217;s just really fun because Mr. Colvin is so funny and he&#8217;s just a really great guy, and he just makes the environment so friendly and warm to be around. It&#8217;s just pretty fun.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mole Day is a day dedicated to Avagradro\u2019s number, 6.02 x 10^23, a number used quite frequently in chemistry as a conversion factor for atoms and molecules.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cChem Club to me is a place where I can go and enjoy all the cool things that we can do with chemistry that we wouldn&#8217;t necessarily do in chem class with other people that also enjoy doing chem,\u201d junior Josh Kilne said. \u201cWe can do a lot more of the things that might take longer than a class period, we can&#8217;t do them during class, so we can do that.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":10248,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1759],"tags":[2412,1920,2496,103,1657],"class_list":["post-14441","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-clubs","tag-cassidy-wainwright","tag-chemistry","tag-chemistry-club","tag-clubs","tag-science"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
