The time has come during the year where marketing students are beginning their Make-A-Wish projects for their marketing class. For this project, students come up with a product or service to sell in order to raise money, which is then donated to the nonprofit organization. Marketing classes at DHS have been doing this project for more than 15 years. Last year they raised $3,500 to donate to Make-A-Wish. <\/span><\/p>\n

According to marketing teacher Erin Royalty, one of the benefits of this project is that it gives students the chance to practice the skills that they are learning in their classes. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs we learn concepts like pricing and advertising and target markets, they apply those concepts to their product or service,\u201d Royalty said. <\/span><\/p>\n

Students have already started brainstorming ideas and will begin selling their products and services within the next couple of weeks. <\/span><\/p>\n
