This is the premise of Twenty Time.\u00a0Student projects this year range from learning a song on a guitar to building a drone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwenty time is when you\u2019re given twenty percent of your time in class to work on basically whatever you want,&#8221;\u00a0junior Richard Wall\u00a0said.\u00a0&#8220;You work on it in class and then write a blog so people are updated on what you\u2019re doing and tell others how it effects your community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wall and his partner,\u00a0junior Spencer Reay, decided to spend their time building a drone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re building a quad copter [drone] from actually nothing, into hopefully something that\u2019s fully flyable,\u201d\u00a0Reay said.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty time takes place during the second semester of every year. Spanish teacher Lisa Bonotto as well as English teacher Sarah Hechlik each do it with carrying degrees of success ranging from each student every year. However twenty time is also seen as a springboard for projects that students are hopefully going to continue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe definitely don\u2019t intend to be done before twenty time is over and we share at the project fair, maybe we\u2019ll finish by the end of school,\u201d said Reay.<\/p>\n<p>Along with blogs, students must share their projects in a presentation fair that\u2019s being held Northwood University on May 5th. In the fair students must present their personal growth, the goal of their project, and what they\u2019ve accomplished.
