When did you start doing more complex nail art?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I started about when I was in sixth grade, so like 12.”<\/p>\n

Why did you start?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I started because my aunt is a cosmetologist and I always loved it when she would do my nails with cool designs and I wanted to try.”<\/p>\n

Was there anyone or anything that inspired you to start?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“My aunt inspired me because I wanted to be like her and be able to do what she does.”<\/p>\n

Is there anything in particular that you pull inspiration from to paint?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Sometimes I paint my nails to do with the holidays that are coming up but other than that, there’s not really anything in particular.”<\/p>\n

How many colors of nail polish do you have?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I have way too many colors to even attempt to count.”<\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite brand and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“My favorite brand is probably OPI just because that is what my aunt uses and it has never failed me.”<\/p>\n

Do you have a least favorite brand and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t have a brand that I would say I don\u2019t like really because I do try new brands all the time, but most that I pick out generally work pretty well.”<\/p>\n

Are there any special tools you consider a must have when painting your nails?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I would say my must have tools are a paper towel for mess ups, my design brushes for detailing, and my dryer just because it moves things along faster.”<\/p>\n

What was the hardest part about starting to paint more complex nail art?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The hardest thing had to be going from drawing designs on paper, to drawing them on nails because of the size difference.”<\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite nail art design to paint on your nails?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I wouldn’t say that I have a favorite design to do on my own nails because I switch it up every time I paint them.”<\/p>\n

How often do you change up the design?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I change up the design every time I do my nails which is every couple weeks generally, but sometimes more often depending on how eager I am to do them.”<\/p>\n

Do you have any tips for anyone looking to start painting more complex nail art?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“<\/strong>The only advice I would have would be is if you want to try it, go for it. You can only get better with practice.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
